The Jikiden Reiki Institute has just announced that they will host an English language seminar in April 2023!
This is an amazing opportunity to review Shoden/Okuden with Tadao Yamaguchi sensei in at the historic Jikiden Reiki Institute Kyoto location. If enough of us are able to go, I hope that the Institute will organize tours to important Reiki sites for us (Mount Kurama, etc.) |
Additionally, this would be a perfect time to take a Shihan-Kaku seminar. Get ready now - you will need to document at least 120 hours of hands-on Reiki on at least 40 different people before the trip (as well as a complete a couple of other requirements.)
Keep in mind, that there are many people who are interested so please register as soon as the dates are announced. I plan to go and I hope you will be joining me! |

Our Friday Koryu-Kai (Reiki practice meeting) at the Japanese Friendship Garden is now taking place in a new room. We are still in the same building (the activity center) - but now we are next door to the Kimono Exhibit.
I am there every Friday from 9:45 am till noon to support your Reiki practice and to answer any questions you may have. This is an ongoing learning experience that is highly recommended after you get your initial training. |
From 10:05 am till 10:50 am we work on 1-3 clients. (I bring in clients that would be beneficial for your learning. Please do your best to sign up for practice early - it gives me time to bring in the clients for you to practice on.)
From 11 am till noon we practice on each other - amazing opportunity to take a break and receive some Reiki. See you at the Garden! |
My new office is in Mission Valley at 4420 Hotel Circle Court, Ste. 265, San Diego, CA 92108.
It is in an Eagle's Nest building on the South side of 8 between 5 and 163 freeways. (Use Taylor street exit, it's easier.) |
It took me several years to learn the ins and outs of a Reiki practice and I am sharing it with you in an easy, step-by-step way, so that you don't have waste countless hours, days, weeks and months or go through the trial and error process I went though! I guide you through the whole process so that you can focus on Reiki and share your light with the world. |
I have updated, added additional content and reorganized that portion of this page so that it is much easier to follow. Just start at #1 and you'll be all set in no time!

We have weekly practice meetings (Koryu-Kai). Meetings are usually held on Thursday evenings at Mission Valley office and on occasional weekend mornings at the Escondido location (there may be other days/times as well). We work on clients, practice on each other, and I answer questions that you may have.
These meeting also serve as my "office hours". If you have any questions - please bring them to practice and I will answer them. |
Tsvetelina became in Shihan Kaku in Japan in April of 2023, becoming a first-level teacher directly under the instruction of Tadao Yamaguchi sensei.
Visit Tsvetelina's website www.GlowToStudio.com and inquire about taking Shoden review. You can also attend practice meetings at her Reiki studio in Pacific Beach. Tsvetelina's Koryu-Kai are currently scheduled on Tuesday mornings. All Jikiden Reiki students and practitioners are welcome to attend! (Tsvetelina is also an amazing esthetician! Please check out her skincare services as well.) |
Learn or review Reiki with Amanda Jayne. Amanda is a Dai-Shihan who learned Reiki directly from Chiyoko Yamaguchi. She is also an author of the book "Women in Reiki" which I highly recommend. Amanda is a great teacher and a wonderful person. Amanda is based in England but comes to the US regularly (including the California) and teaches Reiki. Hope you will be able to attend one of her seminars.

BILL NUMBER: SB 577 CHAPTER 820
FILED WITH SECRETARY OF STATE SEPTEMBER 23, 2002 APPROVED BY GOVERNOR SEPTEMBER 23, 2002 PASSED THE SENATE AUGUST 19, 2002 PASSED THE ASSEMBLY AUGUST 15, 2002 AMENDED IN ASSEMBLY JUNE 28, 2002 AMENDED IN SENATE APRIL 19, 2001 INTRODUCED BY Senator Burton FEBRUARY 22, 2001 An act to add Sections 2053.5 and 2053.6 to the Business and Professions Code, relating to health. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST SB 577, Burton. Health: complementary and alternative health care practitioners. Existing law regulates the practice of medicine in the state, and in that regard prohibits persons who are not licensed as physicians and surgeons from engaging in certain activities constituting the practice of medicine. This bill, notwithstanding any other provision of law, would provide that a person engaging in certain medical treatments who makes specified written disclosures to a client shall not be in violation of certain provisions of the Medical Practice Act unless that person engages in specified diagnosis, treatment, and other activities. The bill would require a person who advertises himself or herself as performing the services that are subject to those requirements to state in the advertisement that he or she is not licensed by the state as a healing arts practitioner. This bill would also make various findings of the Legislature concerning the utilization of complementary and alternative health care services. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Legislature hereby finds and declares all of the following: (a) Based upon a comprehensive report by the National Institute of Medicine and other studies, including a study published by the New England Journal of Medicine, it is evident that millions of Californians, perhaps more than five million, are presently receiving a substantial volume of health care services from complementary and alternative health care practitioners. Those studies further indicate that individuals utilizing complementary and alternative health care services cut across a wide variety of age, ethnic, socioeconomic, and other demographic categories. (b) Notwithstanding the widespread utilization of complementary and alternative medical services by Californians, the provision of many of these services may be in technical violation of the Medical Practice Act (Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 2000) of Division 2 of the Business and Professions Code). Complementary and alternative health care practitioners could therefore be subject to fines, penalties, and the restriction of their practice under the Medical Practice Act even though there is no demonstration that their practices are harmful to the public. (c) The Legislature intends, by enactment of this act, to allow access by California residents to complementary and alternative health care practitioners who are not providing services that require medical training and credentials. The Legislature further finds that these nonmedical complementary and alternative services do not pose a known risk to the health and safety of California residents, and that restricting access to those services due to technical violations of the Medical Practice Act is not warranted. SEC. 2. Section 2053.5 is added to the Business and Professions Code, to read: 2053.5. (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person who complies with the requirements of Section 2053.6 shall not be in violation of Section 2051, 2052, or 2053 unless that person does any of the following:
SEC. 3. Section 2053.6 is added to the Business and Professions Code, to read: 2053.6. (a) A person who provides services pursuant to Section 2053.5 that are not unlawful under Section 2051, 2052, or 2053 shall, prior to providing those services, do the following:
The client shall be provided with a copy of the written acknowledgement, which shall be maintained by the person providing the service for three years. (b) The information required by subdivision (a) shall be provided in a language that the client understands. (c) Nothing in this section or in Section 2053.5 shall be construed to do the following:

My website www.sdreiki.com is built using GoDaddy sites builder. Very easy to make, but it slightly less functionality comparing to Weebly. (There are a few pluses and minuses for each.)
Most basic websites are done using templates that you can choose online for the overall layout, then change the pictures/backgrounds/fonts (super easy to do even if you've never done it before). That's where the basic "design" happens - it's predone, and you just make it work for you (unless you want to pay someone a lot of money to do it.) This particular website was built with a free option on Weebly. (PS: I have no background in programming or website development and have done every bit of it myself without any outside help. If I can do it, so can you!) WIX.COM is another reasonable website option, but if you decide to change the template (how the website looks visually) you may have to redo a lot of the work. |
